A new chapter
As of yesterday at about 3:30 pm I was officially made the 2nd councilor in the Relief Society Presidency! We got a call from the bishop Tuesday evening asking if he could come by and visit with both Mike and I which he did and I kind of thought it was going to be for me because I've been a free agent for 5 months now but we also knew Mike's day in the Elders Quorum Presidency were coming to an end too. I have also thought for a while that they would probably call me to be on the "enrichment" board since I am asked to help with it all the time anyway little did I know I would be asked to be over the whole thing!
Bishop had asked Mike over the phone if he could support me in this calling so he at least got a few minutes heads up but I was pretty shocked to be asked to me in the presidency. They called a whole new one and my friend Claire is the president, and she will do an amazing job! On Sunday in Relief Society the old presidency was given the opportunity to say their goodbye's and the new the opportunity to introduce ourselves, it was then and there that confirmed in my mind that Claire really was the right one for the job! She just sounded like a leader and as far as I could tell the rest of the room thought so too.
I on the other hand just rambled on and said silly stuff like "because I can make bread and sew a straight line I guess somebody thinks I have something to teach all of you", I feel like I have this misguided reputation of knowing how to do everything so I just hope I don't let anybody down. I am excited though for the opportunity to serve and get to know the sisters in our ward. It has been several years since I have even been in Relief Society since my previous callings had me in primary and young womens so I guess I am ready for the challenges this opportunity brings. Wish me luck, keep me in your prayers and I'll get to work!

Caleb at 5 months!
I can't believe it has been five months already! It has gone by so fast! Caleb is still the best baby ever and as cute as can be. He has discovered his hands and likes to suck and slobber on them and anything else he can get a hold of. I just can't get enough of him and am so glad he is a part of our little family! Here are a few pictures just because he is so cute!
To celebrate his 5 month birthday we went swimming yesterday and while the pool was heated it wasn't quite warm enough for him (and me) with the cool air and breeze outside but we got some pictures of his first swim anyway and again I just think he is way too cute in his little swim shorts not to share!

Paige turns THREE!
On March 8th, 2010, Paige Millicent turned 3 years old! It is funny to me because I think I've been thinking of her as 3 for a while now but then again she does seem more and more grown up everyday!
We did birthday/family dinner with the Turleys on the 7th.
Then on the 8th Grandma and Grandpa Hanchett stopped by to bring her present and wish her Happy Birthday!
Then on the 12th we celebrated with the rest of the Hanchetts for Paige and Doug's birthday too. We we had birthday week again, it seems to be a theme with us!
Paige was only 3 months old when we moved into this house, it doesn't seem like we have been here that long, time sure flies especially when you have a little baby girl grow up into a big girl right before your eyes!
We love you Paige, our lives sure wouldn't be the same with out you!

I love to see the Temple
Yesterday I told the girls I had a surprise for them and we loaded up in the car and headed out. The whole trip in the car they kept asking me where we were going and guessing what the surprise was then I told them we will be able to see it when we turn the corner, then I hear "THE TEMPLE!!!"
I was so glad they were that excited, there was part of me that was afraid they wouldn't think that was a good surprise but I was happy with the result. We went into the visitors center and looked at the Christus then watched some of the mormon ad commercials. By then we were ready to walk around the grounds and enjoy the beautiful weather and even more beautiful landscape!
We smelled the flowers and ran and played in the grass and talked about how Mom and Dad were married there and when they grew up they could go inside someday too. We were there for about 2 hours and had a wonderful time. It was such a great experience, we can't wait to do it again!

Hop-Hop-Hopscotch
I just finished another project and am that much closer to getting my counter tops back again...maybe! Anyway We were over at my friend Liz's house and she pulled out a fabric hopscotch and the kids LOVED it!
She said she and her mom had made it for her son for Christmas so I asked her how she did it because I wanted one too. I made one for Paige's birthday (can you believe she is almost 3?) and one for my niece who just turned 6, "hop"fully she will like it too. You can find the directions here if you are wanting one of these super cute indoor games for your little ones! I better go so I can get hopping!

Crazy
Rory had her first Crazy Hair day at school and this was the result!
She was worried I wouldn't know how to make her hair look crazy but in the end was very happy with the result and even wanted to keep it in all day long regardless of where we went. She also was very proud of the fact that she had the "craziest hair" of anyone in her class. I guess she didn't think that using the color spray paint for hair was that big of a deal like the other kids did.

4 months and 8 days!
My little boy is growing up! I can't believe it has been four months already! As you can see is he as cute as can be and it growing like a weed.
At his four month check up he was 15.8 lbs, 24 3/4 inches long and 17 inches for his head circumference. He is in the 50th percentile for height and weight and 75% for head. He has dropped down a little from 2 months being 75% for height and weight and 90% for head.
What can I say we've got a big boy with a big noggin but as far as I'm concerned that is just more of him to love! He is the sweetest, most mild mannered happy baby I could ever have imagined, he truly is an angel baby! We love to see him smile and can't get enough of his precious little giggle. We love you Caleb!
