What a Ride!

There was a traveling carnival in the parking lot of the mall a few weeks ago and every time we drove by Rory asked if we could go, so being the push over parents that we are we said yes! Really it was more Mike's idea since he likes rides and I don't but we went along with his parents and sister anyway! It was fun even though I got sick on he first ride (the tilt a whirl)! Rory was loving it she couldn't get to the next ride fast enough! Even the big adult rides, she wanted to try! I'm glad she enjoyed it, and now we know Mike will always have a riding partner because heaven knows I'm not going to do it!

Who's Your Hero?

We were at Mike's sisters house for a birthday dinner and one of his brothers brought over gituar hero. Everyone had fun trying it our and watching the others play but Rory was the funniest, she didn't want to let anyone else have a turn! I guess it is good we don't have any video games at our house otherwise I'd never get her or Mike to do anything else!

So I had my 29th birthday on Sunday, we went up to Sedona with my sister Heather and her husband it was nice to get away but over all it was pretty low key but it is kind of what I have come to expect. Mike's birthday is in 2 weeks and he will be 30! It is crazy to think about being so close to being out of my 20's and into my 30's! I don't feel like I'm in that catagory yet but then when I see the girls who are like 20-22 and the newly married's (and I'll have my 5 anniversay in June) I know I'm not there anymore, it is just hard to wake up to the realization that I'm not as young as I used to be!

Pump up the Jam!

Okay so I know I've gotten lost for a while a month to be exact but my mind has kind of been taken over with the whole food storage thing and I've read more about the subject then I ever thought I would but I've done more then just read I've jummped right in! Over conference weekend we canned salsa and strawberry jam and had a blast doing it since then I've canned groundbeef (no pic. it's not as pretty) I've gone crazy with all of this and am on the road to preparedness, it's been a good ride so far feel free to join up!
