Just in case you didn't know My mom had breast cancer a couple years ago and now I'm walking in the BREAST CANCER 3Day this November 14-16th. In order to do this I have to raise at least $2200 and I have 7 weeks to get the final $540 ... So I will be holding a fundraiser at Gelato Premio on Wednesday October 1st from 6-9pm! In addition to enjoying some fabulous Gelato (seriously it is so good) (if you haven't had it yet you are missing out) you will receive a raffle ticket for each cup you buy to be entered into a drawing for an ice cream cake of your choice!( a $25 value) So come out and join us because it's for a good cause but lets be honest with ourselves who really needs an excuse for Gelato!
THANKS & Hope to see you there
~Rachel

Grandma & Grandpa came over on her actual birthday to give her a present and then she had a couple more at their house Sunday night.
She got a Fancy Nancy book and if you have a little girl and don't know about these book you are missing out! They are so cute and Rory loves looking at all the pictures but the best part is they teach you to expand your vocabulary too.
Nancy likes to be fancy and that includes her words so she will say something like "gorgeous that's a fancy word for pretty" or "posh, that is a fancy word for fancy" So now Rory is always telling me these weird words usually that she makes up and says "that's a fancy word for..." It is hilarious!
So to wrap this up I
This year we had the Hanchett's over for a BBQ/Swim party. We have a community pool only one house away which is really nice so on Saturday afternoon we all went to hang out by the pool and once we were waterlogged we came back to our house to EAT!
Rory got to open one present before going swimming because it was a pool thing, she got an Ariel swim set from her Aunt CC and Cousin Lara and she loves it but personally I think it makes her look like swamp thing!
Paige wanted to look like swamp thing too!

Thursday morning she got to eat doughnuts for breakfast and open a few presents and then it was off to preschool for her first school time celebration!
She got to be the classroom helper and bring in pictures to show,
answer questions about her favorite things from other kids in the class, then they sang to her opera style
and of course she passed out her prize for the class which was stickers and a silly straw, they can't have any food because of allergies. She was really excited about the whole thing.
The other day I found her trying to feed her "Baby"and then would hold it on her arms and rock it and put it down on the blanket and said "night night baby".
So either my little 18 month old just has a really strong maternal instinct or she sees all the babies or prego mommies around us and is feeling a little left out of the club. Sorry Paige, you're too busy for mom to be ready for another one just yet!
She goes 3 day a week for 2 hours and is lucky enough to have her friend Sadie and her cousin Mandy in the class with her ( maybe not so lucky for the teacher, we'll see ) Anyway she had to go shopping for schools clothes and a princess back pack and now is ready for anything.
I asked her about her first day and she told me some of the things they did but the highlight was that they had to go to the bathroom and "there weren't big potties or a big sink... they just had little potties and a little sink" (imagine that being said in a "little" voice) So my kids favorite part of preschool is the little potty!
I didn't have a hard time leaving her nor did she have a hard time leaving me but Paige did enough for the both of us. She asked "where's Rory?" the whole 2 hours she was gone. Hopefully she will begin to look forward to this time and not be sad. So I survived my first experience of my babies leaving the nest and I'm so proud of her and know she is ready to take on the world!
Mike didn't really want her to cut her hair but after hearing "my hair makes me frustrated" for the hundredth time I decided to take the plunge.
I wanted something done with mine too so it all worked out. My friend Jill does hair out of her home so all three of us girls went there to get a new do. Rory likes her new look but still wants it shorter because it still makes her neck hot, I told her that unless she cuts it short like Daddy's it will always make you neck hot at least in the summer!
Paige got hers trimmed too. She didn't really loose any of her baby hair which was a lot and so once the rest stared growing in she had a million different lengths, we just trimmed the back and evened it out a bit.
I decided to go short and put in a few highlights, I even have some bangs now but I'm not sure what to do with them yet.
It's a nice change though and we all give Jill two thumbs up!
This ensemble is courtesy of Rory's friend Chloe, who was kind enough to let her borrow this fairy princess costume. Rory had a blast dressing up and prancing around in it but once Paige saw how much fun it all was she had to get in on the action.
We put a skirt on her too and she was excited about it for a second but she does better with the hats and accessories. At least we got one picture with them both dressed to impress! It won't be too long before Paige is just as much a part of the show as Rory. I love little girls!
