SHE DID IT!!!!!!!!
So after my last post about the potty we decided to put the diapers back on Rory and not say anything more about it so it has been about 2 weeks and drum roll please.......today she did it! She said she needed to go and went in the bathroom on her own and went pee pee like she always does but then yelled from the bathroom"Mom, come here, I went poop!" Music to my ears! So anyway we are now on our way to Mc Donalds as a reward and I hope this will be the start of a beautiful relationship!

Thanks Natalie
Natalie hosted an Easter Picnic on Tuesday for all the kiddos at the park by her house and Rory was more then excited about the whole thing! She loves Easter Egg Hunts and if I left her basket out all year round then she would play with it and carry it around all year round! Paige found her 2 eggs (one for each hand) and that was all she needed! This was a good preview of what is to come this weekend!
Thankful Thrusday
I've seen this on a couple different blogs and I think it is a good idea and helps us keep things in perspective so here goes. I'm thankful for my husband Mike and his job. He works for an auto insurance company and they are very old school in that nobody is really looking over your shoulder all the time, which is why he likes it. I'm especially thankful for it this past week because Paige and I were sick all weekend and Sunday night Paige didn't really sleep at all and was up crying every 20 min because of an ear infection so that means we didn't sleep at all and Mike gets up Monday morning and emails his boss and tells him he will be working from HOME today! I love that he has that flexibility. Then on top of that he steps in and helps keep everyone going so that I can try and get some sleep since I was sick too. So I just want to say Hooray for husbands/dads and of course flexible easy going jobs, they are the greatest!

Potty Mouth
I hate to have to even bring this up but I'm tired of things going they way they are so I'm throwing this out there to see if anyone can help me! Rory is 3.5 years and has been partially potty trained for over a year now but still refuses to go poop in the potty! We would put diapers on her at night and she would just wait until she had a diaper on and then go! So right after we put her in bed she'd come out and need to be changed. So we tried making her have to clean herself up and that didn't work and just made more work for me. We tried bribes and taking things away but she just doesn't care! Two weeks ago we decided to take away the night time diaper and see what she would do, well she can stay dry all night, wetting the bed is not a problem. She will go pee right before bed and when she wakes up but still no poop, except now she goes in her panties!!!!! She totally knows when it's coming but just refuses to use the toilet! AUGH!! So anyway that is the dilemma and I'd appreciate any help I can get!

Light my Fire

Okay so I take my kids to this thing called the Family Fun Van every week and they play with toys, sing songs, dance, read stories, do a craft, and they get a free book. It's great you should totally come in you live in the area, but anyway this week they had the fire department come and talk to the kids about fire safety. One of the guys dressed up in his full uniform so the kids could see what they look like and not to be scared and hide if some one like that come looking for you if you are in a fire. Rory went up and shook his hand but I had to go with her. Then they took all the kids over to the fire truck and let them climb up inside. They also gave all the kids a plastic red firemans helmet and a badge sticker. I also saw Clay Payne that graduated from Highland in '97 he is one of the firefighters. It was pretty cool!
So you may be looking at that picture and thinking I thought Rachel only had 2 kids??? I do, the little boy is my sister Jessica's baby. She has gone back to work so I watch Kash for her. So Mon-Fri from 6:30 t0 3:00 I am a mother of three. Let me tell you it is rough having kids only 9 months apart! I don't know how you people out there with kids a year apart of so do it. Rory and Paige are 2 and 1/2 years apart and that is close enough for me.
Paige Turns ONE!!!
So I'm a little behind but my little Paige Millicent turned ONE on March 8, 2008! She has been so much fun this past year and can't wait to see how her little personality turns out! Here are some pic's of her party!
